Camps & Programs
The mission of Recreation Unlimited is to provide year round programs in sports, recreation and education for individuals with disabilities and health concerns while building self-confidence, self-esteem and promoting positive human relations, attitudes and behaviors. Recreation Unlimited's philosophy, programs, campus and support team strive to promote the well-being of individuals with disabilities in every aspect. Individuals with disabilities have a full array of camp choices when searching for fun, challenging, accessible activities. Recreation Unlimited is a non-smoking facility.
Year Round Respite Weekend Camps are for youth and adults (ages 8 and up) with a disability, physical or developmental. These camps provide campers and their families a getaway weekend throughout the year. Campers spend a weekend at camp enjoying a variety of activities while their families and caregivers have the opportunity to spend time away from the daily care of the individual.
Summer and Winter Residential Camps are for youth and adults with a disability, physical or developmental. There are two weeklong camps for youth (ages 8-22), one weeklong camp for young adults and adults (ages 23 and up) and four weeklong camps for adults (ages 23 and up).
Summer Day Camps are for youth and teens (ages 5-22) with a disability, physical or developmental, as well as their typically developing friends and siblings. This inclusive experience allows friends and typical siblings to attend camp together and promotes personal growth in a fun and challenging environment.
Specialty Camps are for youth and adults dedicated to a specific disability or health concern. Both weekend and weeklong camps are available. These camps are designed for certain groups where services and programs are specifically created to meet their needs.
