New Winter & 2012 Summer
Residential Weeklong Camp
Billing Information For Individual Options Waiver
Please be advised that effective October 1, 2011, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has implemented a new service, Community Respite, for camps and campers that pay for camp service through the Individual Options Waiver. Therefore, please note the following important DODD mandated change in billing procedures for the Individual Options Waiver as it relates to a Recreation Unlimited Farm and Fun, Inc. (Recreation Unlimited) Winter or 2012 Summer Residential weeklong camp.
If you have a camper who is on the Individual Options Waiver and will be attending a 2012 Summer Residential or Winter Residential weeklong camp, please be advised that after October 1, 2011, Recreation Unlimited will bill four (4) full day Community Respite units (ARN) per weeklong camp, plus a $180 room and board allowance that is not a billable waiver service and is the responsibility of each individual camper to pay. This additional charge is due to the decrease in reimbursement rates that Recreation Unlimited will receive from the DODD through this Community Respite service, in order that we maintain a quality camping experience. Please adjust your camper’s PAWS to reflect this billing change. Per the DODD, we will be unable to accept HPC billing for the Individual Options Waiver after October 1, 2011.
Please contact Michelle Higgins with questions regarding your camper’s scheduled attendance at Recreation Unlimited. Please contact DODD for questions regarding PAWs and these new mandated billing procedures. Thank you for your help with this change as we continue to comply with the DODD and offer outstanding service to individuals with disabilities and health concerns through the Individual Options Waiver.
