2008 Residential Camps
Seven Weeks of Summer Residential Camp Offered
Summer Residential Camps are for youth and adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. There are two |
| week long camps for youth (ages 8-22), one week long camp for young adults (ages 23-30), and four week long camps for adults (ages 23 & up). Recreation Unlimited's Summer Residential Camps provide a full schedule of activities, lodging, meals and snacks, counselors, program leaders, on-site nursing |

and a great environment for fun! Examples of program activities are swimming, fishing, canoeing, climbing (on belay!), sports, archery, creekin', nature exploration, arts and crafts, cooking, theater, campfire, dancing and more!
A fully equipped Health Services Center and Nurses Quarters with a team of nurses that administer all camper medications and medical treatments are provided. All meals and snacks are provided with healthy choices available. Special diets can be accommodated. Items such as Recreation Unlimited sweatshirts and t-shirts are available at the camp store for purchase that enables the campers to go home with a souvenir from camp.
Camper check-in time is Sunday between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Camper departure time is Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Fees and Funding
The Summer Residential Camp fee for 2008 is $695, plus a one time, non-refundable $35 registration fee. Recreation Unlimited is an Individual Options Waiver, Level One Waiver and Ohio Home Care Waiver participant, please contact your service coordinator and submit a request for service prior to coming to camp so that camp fees may be part of your service plan.

Scholarships to assist with camp fees are available for campers who are not on a waiver and who live in the following nine county central Ohio region: Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Knox, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Pickaway, and Union
|
|
counties. Scholarships are based on gross household income and family size. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, campers may qualify for financial assistance from county or State agencies. Specific qualifications can be obtained by contacting your service coordinator or relevant government agency.

Send in Your Registration!
Registrations are held on a first-come, first-served basis. After you send in your registration and registration fee, a camper application packet, including physical form will be sent to you for completion. Acceptance to camp is based on review and approval of the camper application, physical form completed and signed by your physician, and camp capacities.
Individual Options, Level One and Ohio Home Care Waivers and Family Resources money cannot be used to pay the non-refundable registration fee.
